Tap into the towns, tools and characters of local hard rock mining heritage by visiting mining sites of years gone by. Tours are open to ages 10 years and older. Some walking required. Because of work being done onsite and limited access, this tour will not include the Cardinal Mill Site but will include a new site to the tour, Rocky Mountain Mammoth Mine. This tour involves visiting historic mining sites. Due to their nature and history, these sites may contain soil and water contaminated by heavy metals.
