Join us for a 1-mile, easy to moderate hike in the foothills near Boulder. We’ll look at the signs of fall in the landscape and talk about how the plants and animals are getting ready for the changing seasons. The trail has some incline and a few rocky areas. There are a couple of benches along the trail where you can sit and rest.

I love to hike and mountain bike year-round and spend time in nature with the amazing wildflowers, forests and rock formations around us. I am excited to be part of the BCPOS volunteer naturalist program to share my love of the outdoors with others and learn what sparks your interest on the trails.

I’m a Kansas transplant who became attached to Colorado and dreamed of living there as an adult. As a child, my grandparents took me to CO every summer for nature study camp and hiking in the Rockies. My dream came true when I moved here 45 years ago. I find renewal in nature, I love hiking, birdwatching, and walking my dogs. I enjoy looking for wildlife and wildflowers on open space trails and in the mountains. I look forward to learning more about Boulder County nature and wildlife.
