Volunteer Work Projects

Join us for a volunteer work project specially for Volunteer Naturalists! We will be do some Invasive plant control up at Walden Ponds. This project will be a little bit more strenuous, however, we plan to go slow and take LOTS of breaks! We hope to also give you an opportunity to learn about our Integrative Weed Management Plan and the innovative ways we are combating weeds in Boulder County! PLEASE NOTE: We will have an Invasive Weeds tech on site with us applying a herbicide to cut stems of the Tamarisk plants. This is done with a blotter (something like a Bingo marker), so there is no spraying or risk of airborne contamination. If this is an issue for you, please choose another project. This step is critical in the eradication of this species.

Minimum Participants: 5
Maximum Participants: 15
