Celebrate National Trails Day with Boulder County Parks & Open Space! We're hosting our annual National Trails Day event at one of our most popular project sites — Ron Stewart Preserve at Rabbit Mountain. Our mission for the day is to reduce the amount of mud on the trail, leading to fewer muddy trail closure days during the wetter months. Volunteers will dig drainages, move and set rocks, and cut back overgrown brush. Lunch, snacks, and drinks will be provided. Difficulty: Moderate. Project could involve hiking up to 2 miles with some elevation gain while carrying your backpack with your personal gear and 1 hand tool. You should be prepared to get dirty and sweat a bit. Please reach out with any questions. Looking forward to working with you!
