Parks & Open Space Advisory Committee (POSAC) members and attendees will visit the Cardinal Mill and Conger Mine. This trip will showcase two upcoming projects in proximity to each other. The first stop will be the Cardinal Mill, where the county will be working to mitigate water quality issues. Other topics discussed may include the history of the mine site, the work on the buildings themselves, and bat roosting. The second stop will be the Conger Mine site along Sherwood Creek, where the county and the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety are proposing to daylight Sherwood Creek where it was buried with mine overburden in the past. Staff will discuss the plan details and the schedule for that restoration. This site visit will not provide an opportunity for formal public comment. The tour is informational only and POSAC will not vote on matters related to this item. Lunch will be included on the trip. Attendees will ride in a van to the sites and can be picked up at one of the following locations: • The Ron Stewart Parks & Open Space building at 5201 St. Vrain Rd., Longmont, leaving at 9 a.m. • The west end of the Justice Center parking lot at Canyon & 6th Ave., Boulder leaving at approximately 9:30 a.m. • The RTD lot at West 2nd St. and Jackson St., Nederland leaving at approximately 10 a.m. After you register, please make sure you fill out the shuttle and lunch form at https://forms.office.com/g/AVa5EN1UfB
