Natural History - All Ages Welcome

Does it seem like astronomers speak a different language? Let's demystify some astronomical names and terms. Join us for fun demonstrations and an interactive ‘language’ lesson. Then, view the night sky and understand, as astronomers describe what we see through the telescopes. Bring a chair or blanket, a light jacket, and a red flashlight, and get ready to enjoy a night out with the family. The presentation is at the picnic shelter. It is followed by stargazing in the parking area. Telescopes are provided by the Longmont Astronomical Society.

Living in Colorado has been a great gift, and I need to give back to the community in appreciation for all I have received and experienced. It combines my curiosity about the natural world, my love for the outdoors, and the opportunity to provide service to those who also call Boulder County home.
