Natural History - All Ages Welcome
Join Boulder County volunteer naturalists for an evening of lunar discovery. Just days after the recent new moon on March 18, the night sky will give us a perfect chance to watch the moon grow brighter night after night. We’ll explore how and why the moon changes shape throughout the month, what to look for in its glow, and how people across the world and across time have used the moon to mark seasons and celebrate traditions. Presentations will be at the picnic shelter, followed by stargazing in the parking area. The Longmont Astronomical Society provides telescopes. Bring a chair or blanket, a light jacket, and a red flashlight, and get ready to enjoy a night under the stars!

Andrew M - Volunteer Naturalist
Whether it's for work or play, being outdoors brings me joy! As a Volunteer Naturalist, I love to explore and learn with others about the natural world around us and to help people of all ages find their own connection to the land.
Robin S - Volunteer Naturalist
I am retired graphic designer/art director and have lived in Colorado since 1991. Although my lengthy career had me sitting behind a computer, my first love is exploring the outdoors. I was also a kids’ ski instructor at Breck and Copper Mtn. which was so much fun. Boulder County has an amazingly diverse environment with so much wildlife and beautiful landscapes! I look forward to sharing the passion for the outdoors with fellow community members, their families and friends.
