Grab your friends or coworkers to compete in some old fashioned athletic fun! Play in our vintage base ball (it was two words back then) game at Walker Ranch Homestead. The game will be played using 19th-century rules. “Base ball” was two words back then. Those watching the game are cranks, rooters, or bugs; players are ballists. A hurler pitches the ball to the behind, or catcher. No gloves or helmets are worn, and a cloth ball and cloth bases are used. Listen for the players’ nicknames and a bell ringing as players reach home plate! Players ages 14 and older welcome.
