Kinglet Trail Dedication Ceremony

Join Boulder County Parks & Open Space staff for a short dedication ceremony at the Kinglet Trail on the Tolland Ranch Property near Rollinsville. This trail was officially opened in 2024 and was made possible by a few key contributors. One of those partners was the Mike O’Brien Foundation. When Mike passed away his wish was for his legacy to support outdoor recreation, including the design and building of the bike friendly Kinglet Trail. The trip will include the unveiling of a small plaque and a small ceremony honoring Mike’s support. There may be time for a short hike along the trail if weather and schedule permits. Attendees should bring drinking water, comfortable hiking shoes, and clothing for inclement weather. Snacks will be provided, but please plan to pack your own lunch. Please note that restrooms will not be available during the site visit. Participants should be prepared to use Leave No Trace practices if nature calls. Attendees will travel in county vans to Tolland Ranch. Options for meetup locations (please contact Jarret Roberts with your choice): 1. Vans leaving the Parks & Open Space building at 9:15 a.m., returning at 3:15 p.m. 2. Vans stopping at the Boulder Historic Courthouse (1325 Pearl St.) at 10:00 a.m., returning at 2:30 p.m. 3.
