Celebrate Earth Day with Boulder County Parks & Open Space with some trailwork at Ron Stewart Preserve at Rabbit Mountain! Our mission for the day is to reduce the amount of mud on the trail. Join us as we build raised turnpikes, close down unnecessary trail braiding, and quarry rocks. With your help, we hope to reduce the number of days trails are closed due to excessive mud. Difficulty: Moderate. Project may involve hiking up to a mile over uneven terrain and using various hand tools. What to bring: -Water bottle and water -Sturdy shoes/boots -Backpack (for carrying clothes/water) -Pants are highly recommended -Sunscreen -Layers of clothes -Rain gear -Snacks Lunch will be provided!
