Natural History - Seniors
Join us for a leisurely 1- to 3-mile walk at Pella Crossing as we look for signs of spring: budding trees, early flowers, returning birds, and the warmth of the sun. We’ll follow wide, even trails along scenic ponds, with benches available for resting. The pace will be set by our most curious participant, making this a relaxed and enjoyable outing for all.

Ann C - Volunteer Naturalist
I grew up in a small village in Cumbria, with the English countryside as my wild playground. I accidentally emigrated in 1965, and since then have been catching up on all aspects of Colorado’s wildlife. (My newest passion is moths. I have a B.Sc. in physiology from University of London, which I used only for five years of medical research. After a time-out for mothering, I turned to writing—twelve books so far—as a way to avoid working nine to five. I began volunteering for BCPOS in 1978,

Robin S - Volunteer Naturalist
I am retired graphic designer/art director and have lived in Colorado since 1991. Although my lengthy career had me sitting behind a computer, my first love is exploring the outdoors. I was also a kids’ ski instructor at Breck and Copper Mtn. which was so much fun. Boulder County has an amazingly diverse environment with so much wildlife and beautiful landscapes! I look forward to sharing the passion for the outdoors with fellow community members, their families and friends.

I’ve lived in Colorado more than 25 years and am so happy to call it home. I grew up in Nebraska and started my career in New Jersey… most of that time I had my nose in a book. When I got to Colorado I discovered the great outdoors. I love to run (at a snail’s pace so I can soak in the scenery) on the many wonderful trails here in Boulder County. I am eager to share my passion for all that Nature has to offer with this community to which I feel so deeply connected.
