We need your help to plant hundreds of Ponderosa Pine seedlings at Boulder County's beloved Open Space Property, Heil Valley Ranch, was severely burned when the Cal-Wood Fire erupted just north of Boulder in October 2020. Volunteers should be prepared for a day of physically demanding work on steep slopes, doing extensive digging, planting and hauling water to seedlings. Please be sure to pack a good lunch for this project and plenty of drinking water in a reusable water bottle! Boulder County will provide all the tools and safety equipment needed for this event, and will have extra drinking water for refills. We will be working in the interior of Heil, and will be shuttled to the work site in county vans. Volunteers will not be able to come late or leave early on this project. PLEASE NOTE: An online waiver must be filled out for EVERY participant. Please use the link to the online waiver provided upon registration to electronically sign prior to the volunteer work project.
