Catharine P - Volunteer Naturalist

I’m a native of New England and have always enjoyed living close to the earth. As a Colorado transplant, the beautiful environment inspires me to explore our history, geography, native wildlife, plants, and natural resources. I enjoy spending time in my community with people of all ages, making connections between our ecosystems and our daily lives, and connecting the past with the present and future.

I am an avid naturalist with an academic background (WAY back background) in ecology. I participate in citizen science projects, work on my native plant landscapes and am an active birder. Love to travel with horses and dogs.

My childhood memories are endless joyful hours playing amidst miles of orange and avocado groves in Orange County CA. Summer camps and wilderness training in the Sierra and Rocky Mountains fostered an intense curiosity of nature’s many-layered secrets through self-reflection, learning, and the sharing of those secrets with others. After too many years working in Silicon Valley tech I have emerged to celebrate the natural world in Boulder County. Come celebrate with me!

Robin S - Volunteer Naturalist

I am a recently retired graphic designer/art director and have lived in Colorado since 1991. Although my lengthy career had me sitting behind a computer, my first love is exploring the outdoors. I was also a kids’ ski instructor at Breck and Copper Mtn. which was so much fun. Boulder County has an amazingly diverse environment with so much wildlife and beautiful landscapes! I look forward to sharing the passion for the outdoors with fellow community members, their families and friends.
