Natural History - All Ages Welcome
Using natural materials, we will make crafts that foster artistic creativity and a sense of connection to the natural environment. We'll imagine what roles our found materials played in nature before they were collected, and relatedly, some interpretations will be discussed. This program is geared toward children, but participants of all ages are welcome. All supplies will be provided.

Janet S - Volunteer Naturalist
I grew up in Boulder County, and have always loved the landscape here, from the plains to the high peaks. One of my parents was a scientist and the other a visual artist, and both perspectives have influenced my life; I want to be able to understand how things work, and also to appreciate their beauty. I think one of the most important challenges for humankind right now is to understand our place in the ecosystem, and learn to live like the rest of the natural world is our kin.

Mary S - Volunteer Naturalist
A lifelong participant in the amazing wonderment of our natural world! From wandering the woods of the Southern US as a child to purposeful natural world activities as an adult, I'm continually in awe of the beauty surrounding us.

Melanie G - Volunteer Naturalist
I love to hike and mountain bike year-round and spend time in nature with the amazing wildflowers, forests and rock formations around us. I am excited to be part of the BCPOS volunteer naturalist program to share my love of the outdoors with others and learn what sparks your interest on the trails.
