Angela B - STAFF
I grew up wandering the wilds of North Western Colorado and was always fascinated with how the world works. I moved to Minnesota for college and studied Biology then got a job in outdoor education in New England, I was hooked. Exploring and sharing outdoors every day was a dream. I moved back to Minnesota for a Naturalist training program and then to Illinois for grad school in Education. I returned to Colorado in 2006 to continue sharing and learning about nature every day!

I grew up on a farm in southwest Iowa. We grew corn, soybeans, oats and vegetables, and raised cattle, hogs, and chickens. Our meals were ‘farm to table’. My fondest memories were driving the tractor to load up bales of hay and playing in the creeks when the snow was melting after a long winter. I moved to Longmont from Omaha, NE where I lived in a forested area and enjoyed nature through the seasons. I enjoy time with my grandchildren, hiking, biking, walking my dog, and all things Colorado!

Sheila G - Volunteer Naturalist
I’m originally from Michigan, but since leaving there have lived in Mexico and several western states before settling in Colorado 24 years ago. My love of the outdoors has grown over the years to include hiking, camping, biking, birdwatching, and exploration of archaeological resources. Retirement from History Colorado as Curator of Archaeology has enabled me to spend even more time outdoors. The more experiences I have, the more I am excited to help with the protection of our state's resources.
