Catharine Profile Photo

Catharine P - Volunteer Naturalist

I'm inspired by Colorado's beautiful environment to explore our history, geography, native wildlife, plants, and natural resources. I enjoy spending time in my community, exploring connections between our ecosystems and our daily lives, and connecting the past with the present and future.

Dave Profile Photo

Dave F - Volunteer Naturalist

I am an avid naturalist with an academic background in ecology. After a short career with the National Park Service, I had a long career in technology. For my encore career, I participate in citizen science projects, work on native plant landscapes and am an active birder. Love to travel with horses and dogs.

Deborah P - Volunteer Naturalist

I retired from Boulder County Parks & Open Space in 2022. I love sharing information about the natural world and our local history with children and adults. I also love teaching astronomy and helping people better understand how celestial motion works, and how dark skies are important to us all.

Mary Jane V - Volunteer Naturalist

I have lived in Boulder County since 2006 and have been a Volunteer Naturalist since 2009. I have loved all the amazing experiences I have had here in the county with all things nature. I have special interest in Birds and in native wildflowers and grasses. Teaching has been the focus of my life and I enjoy working with all ages. It is a privilege to share experiences in nature with the community.
