Natural History - Seniors

Join volunteer naturalists for a gentle summer solstice stroll at Pella Crossing. We’ll move at the pace of our most curious hiker as we explore how plants and animals adapt to the season. Flat trails and plenty of benches make this an easy, relaxing way to welcome summer’s warmth.

I am an avid naturalist with an academic background in ecology. After a short career with the National Park Service, I had a long career in technology. Tim Profile Photo

Tim L - Volunteer Naturalist

I grew up in northwestern Ohio. My favorite place was always outside. I have an undergraduate degree in Biology. Living in Colorado has been a great gift, and I need to give back to the community in appreciation for all I have received and experienced. Becoming a volunteer naturalist is the perfect way to meet that need. It combines my curiosity about the natural world, my love for the outdoors, and the opportunity to provide service to those who also call Boulder County home.
