I grew up wandering the wilds of North Western Colorado and was always fascinated with how the world works. I moved to Minnesota for college and studied Biology then got a job in outdoor education in New England, I was hooked. Exploring and sharing outdoors every day was a dream. I moved back to Minnesota for a Naturalist training program and then to Illinois for grad school in Education. I returned to Colorado in 2006 to continue sharing and learning about nature every day!

I am filled with awe and wonder when in the out of doors. Nature brings out the best in me – reverence, curiosity, wonder and humility. I love to hike, camp, flyfish, ski, and sometimes do nothing, but take it all in. My greatest joy is doing these activities with family and friends as it deepens the connection. As a VN I desire to instill a sense of wonder and caring through education to others in the hope that they are inspired through nature and may also be moved to conserve it.
