Volunteer Work Projects - All Ages Welcome

Time for some spring planting! The creek is high but our banks are bare, and we need your help. Come join us at one of our restoration sites on St Vrain Creek, where we are working to stabilize banks and improve creek habitat for our native flora and fauna. We'll be planting plugs of various wetland species, consisting of mostly sedges (genus Carex), into constructed soil lifts to prevent erosion. We will provide all the necessary tools and gloves, so all you need to do is come prepared to get slightly muddy and possibly sweaty, learn a little, and have a good time! A few things to note: 1. Our work site is on the banks of a creek, and rocky, uneven terrain may be present. Sturdy, closed-toe shoes are required. 2. Every volunteer under the age of 18 needs a waiver signed by a parent or guardian, and needs to be accompanied to the volunteer event by an adult. 3. All COVID safety protocols will be observed for the duration of this project. We appreciate your patience as these protocols change, and will update you closer to the event as to our current status. Please don't hesitate to reach out with any questions. I'm excited to work with you all!
