I grew up wandering the wilds of North Western Colorado and was always fascinated with how the world works. I moved to Minnesota for college and studied Biology then got a job in outdoor education in New England, I was hooked. Exploring and sharing outdoors every day was a dream. I moved back to Minnesota for a Naturalist training program and then to Illinois for grad school in Education. I returned to Colorado in 2006 to continue sharing and learning about nature every day!

I have been enjoying Boulder County Open Space for over thirty years, and I am excited share my sense of awe for this wonderful environment. As as an elementary teacher in the public schools, I had the opportunity to instruct on Colorado Life zones and lead children on field trips. My love of hiking and biking our beautiful trails led to many years of volunteering as a trail crew member and leader. I would love to foster this feeling of stewardship in others.
