PLEASE NOTE: This project is for Boulder County employees an family members of Boulder County employees who are being memorialized. The Boulder County memorial stone, located at the Boulder County Fairgrounds, is dedicated to county employees who have passed away while employed with Boulder County. Currently, the stone is located just off the parking lot of the Affolter House, which is the Fairgrounds Office. Public Works, with funding from BC Voice, is creating a memorial stone garden at the Fairgrounds to create a reflective space that honors both those whose names are engraved on the wall and those who wish to visit and spend time at the memorial. The area will feature a native and xeric garden with walking paths and benches to allow people a place to sit. Two additional stones will be incorporated into the garden to provide room for other names, as needed. We will be planting the garden which will require the use of shovels and picks. All personal protection equipment will be provided as well as snacks and water.
