Open Space Management - All Ages Welcome
As part of the Boulder County Parks & Open Space 50th anniversary celebration, community members are invited to take a special behind-the-scenes look at local agriculture. Join us for a guided bus tour of two working farms located on county open space. You’ll visit medium and large-scale operations and meet the producers who help steward the land. These farmers have deep roots in the area and will share their personal stories, challenges, and successes of working the land in Boulder County. Agriculture is a vital part of Boulder County’s history and future. On this tour, you’ll learn how the county supports local food production, protects agricultural lands, balances conservation with working landscapes, and why agricultural lands are just as important to protect as our natural areas. These tours fill quickly, so don’t wait — sign up today and come with your questions ready!
