Eli M - Volunteer Naturalist

Originally from West Virginia, I spent my early days camping, biking, and hiking in beautiful natural areas all around the Allegheny and Blue Ridge Mountain Ranges, instilling a love for the natural world and developing a great interest in how ecosystems function. Throughout my life, I have been very fortunate to recreate in and learn about many different environments throughout North America, experiences that have shaped me into who I am today and who I wish to be in the future.

I am a native of Southeastern Wisconsin. In 2023, after retiring from a varied career in clinical laboratory science, I moved to Boulder from Scottsdale, Arizona. I have always been drawn to the natural world and animals. I enjoy learning more about the unique ecosystem in Boulder County. Being a volunteer naturalist allows me to join the community of like-minded people who enjoy the outdoors and provides an opportunity to connect others with our special Boulder resources.
