Natural History - Ages 13 & Older
Join volunteer naturalists on a mostly flat, 3-mile in-and-out hike to the aspen groves at Caribou Ranch. While resting among the aspen, we will practice mindful observation. Learn what we've discovered about aspen, mindfulness, the natural world, and what remains unknown. We'll take time to reflect together on what we've observed and what we can still learn from nature.

Anne B - Volunteer Naturalist
I enjoy being outdoors and delight in the harmony that nature’s diversity brings. As a volunteer naturalist, I hope to promote an increased appreciation of our natural environment and how important this connection is to individual and community well-being.
Deborah K - Volunteer Naturalist
I am a mostly-retired lawyer and an outdoor adventurer, with many years of experience as a backpacker, hiker, rock climber, and outdoor guide/educator. I am excited to be part of Boulder County's volunteer naturalist program, to learn more about this area's natural history and then share with my community what I've learned and what I love about the outdoors.
