Description:

Volunteers will lead fun educational programs at the recently restored Altona Schoolhouse at Heil Valley Ranch.

Volunteers will:

  • Present one room school field trips for pre-requested group visits. Teachers will choose from a pioneer school experience or mining program.
  • Present artifact trunks for pre-requested group visits.
  • Research, develop, and present future field trip or public program activities.
  • Research and lead period-appropriate crafts, games, and possibly songs.
Volunteer Job Description:

Minimum commitment of three field trip programs or open houses per year. Volunteers must be at least 14.
